We sincerely thank you for being patient and understanding during this time. Many of our valued customers received inconsistent information from Government Call Centers about whether we could/could not open. In short, have been allowed to work as an essential business to produce household coal but we were not allowed to open to our customers for the sale of coal under Level 4. That is why we required an exemption from the Director General of Health to open. See below the legislation that sets these rules. COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order (No9) 2021 (the Health Order). This health order defines that the production, supply, sale, distribution, or disposal of solid fuels (coal & firewood) is a key utility and therefore an Alert Level 4 business. However, item 21 of Schedule 2 of the Health Order indicates that key utilities are not permitted to have customers on the premises.
